Obviously, boots are a staple for most of us, but in England their love of boots is on a whole other level. Flat boots, heel boots, over the knee, ankle, laces. I’ve seen them in every style on EVERYONE.

#2. Pair jean shorts and sheer tights
Not warm enough to wear your favorite jean shorts? Not a problem! Add a pair of sheer black tights.. plus boots (see tip #1) and you’re set to go.

I've seen this combo every time of day- casual with a plain v-neck and then dressed up with a fancy shirt and heels for night. Speaking of which...
#3. HEELS. Don’t go to the club without them.
I learned this lesson the hard way. I like to think I’m a pretty average height, but my first night out in England I was definitely vertically challenged. My modest wedge boots were not cutting it.

#4. Pile up on rings and bangles
Coco Chanel once said “When accessorizing, take off the last thing you put on.” Apparently England did not get that memo. The more rings and bracelets, the better. Luckily I found that the TopShop (new favorite store) in London has an extensive selection.

#5. Leather.. I’m talking jackets and side bags.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever wanted a leather jacket so much in my life. The Brits really know how to wear them. Coupled with cute leather side bag and you’re ready to go.

I’m excited to try out some of these tips back at JMU and I hope you are too! Until then, enjoy the end of spring break!
