in my closet

With temperatures rising, everyone is starting to catch some form of spring fever - in my case this means I'm itching to buy new clothes to accompany the new weather. Unfortunately, my campus job doesn't provide a big enough cash flow to support my J. Crew and Anthropologie dreams. However, it does support another obsession of mine - thrifting. My friend Chelsea and I were dying for some new threads, but didn't feel like breaking the budget, so we made our first ever visit to Mercy House of Harrisonburg. Safe to say I'm hooked. Care to see what I snagged for under $3.00

Periwinkle silk shirt with braided collar accent - $1.00
Navy blue skinny belt with double gold closure - $0.50
Kenneth Cole genuine leather belt with large silver buckle - $0.50

Yellow, plastic, geometric beach tote - $1.00
So if you're in the market for some unique and retro finds for spring, be sure to make your way to Mercy House. With over 4 rooms full of clothing, accessories and more, there's sure to be something to suit your style. And if the idea of used clothing scares you, that's what washing machines are for! No one else will have what you do, and at a $1.00 or less per item it's well worth it!

What are your favorite spots in the 'burg for thrifting? I'd love to know!
